## Why Prep Matters A Go Nano application is only as good as the surface it's applied to. Dirt, moss, algae, and debris all prevent the treatment from bonding evenly—resulting in inconsistent coverage and reduced performance. That's why our prep and cleaning step isn't optional—it's built into every application we do. ## What We Clean ### Biological Growth Moss and algae are some of the most damaging things on an aging roof. They trap moisture against the shingle surface, accelerating granule loss and shingle decay. We treat and remove them safely using methods that won't disturb the surrounding granule layer. ### Debris and Granule Buildup Valleys, gutters, and low-slope areas accumulate leaves, twigs, and the granules that wash down from aging shingles. We clear these areas completely before cleaning begins. ### Surface Contamination Bird droppings, tree sap, and airborne pollutants can create barriers that prevent proper bonding. Our pre-application clean removes all of it. ## Our Approach: Low-Pressure Washing We don't use high-pressure washing on asphalt shingles. High pressure dislodges granules—the very thing protecting your roof. Our low-pressure process cleans thoroughly without causing new damage. ## Standalone Service Roof cleaning is available as a standalone service even if you're not proceeding with Go Nano application. A clean roof drains better, sheds biological growth faster, and simply looks better from the street.
